Its been a while since I've posted on here! I thought I'd give you all an update. I went to many places during my Thanksgiving break. My friends and I calculated, and we traveled a total of 1200 miles!! First, I went to my friend Alyssa's house for two days, in Jackson which is near Sacramento. Then, on Thanksgiving morning, we all went to a friend's house in San Francisco for Thanksgiving meal. Right after that (literally, it was 3pm), we drove to Santa Cruz. In Santa Cruz I worked on the youth staff for the Mt. Hermon Christian Camp. It was quite an experience!! We had about 50 students, and five staff members. I led a small group with all of the junior high girls, there were 14 of them. It was a blast, but also a challenge. We had kids from all different backgrounds-one was a drug dealer, one is on probation, one tried to kill himself a few weeks back, one is in rehab for cocaine, and the list goes on. By the end of the weekend most of them had broken down, and it was really amazing to see the changes in their lives. It was a huge reminder that we have lost people right here in America!! On that note, this summer I am going on an International Service Project trip through my school. There are about 22 trips, and 400 participants. I will be leaving May 11th, and returning May 31st. I cannot actually say where I am going on here, because it is a closed country, and is actually fairly dangerous. What I can say is that I will be learning Arabic while I am there. If you want to know more, send me a comment on here, and I will mail you a letter that will give you a little more detail. Unfortunately, I will not be able to completely satisfy your curiosity, and cannot share the exact country I will be going to. My next topic is Christmas!! I am going home in a week!!! I am so excited! I recently got a Disneyland pass, and have gone to Disneyland twice since then. I am also going this Friday, and on Monday. I just can't get enough of Disneyland at Christmas time!! I also went to Yule this past weekend which is a fancy dinner at the Disneyland Hotel. Don't worry, I'll show you pictures of my date and I! Again, don't worry, I don't have a boyfriend :] Well, I miss you all and will see you soon! At least, those of you living in Oregon!

Oops, that was me, Rachel, that posted that first comment. : )
Hi Andrea: Great blog and equally great pics! As your grandmother's brother, I know you're undoubtedly familiar with my main claim to fame, especially if you've ever gone to Google and typed in "Dave MacPherson (Disneyland)." If Wanda and I lived out there, we could take you and your date to Disneyland as often as you would want to go on my lifetime pass which also gives us a big discount on all food bought at the park! It's also good for all of Disney's theme parks around the world - and we like Disney World in Florida more than Disneyland because there are more attractions and it isn't in a cramped location like Disneyland is. During D-land's 50th celebration in 2005 I was interviewed all day long by radio and TV stations calling me from several continents and Associated Press ran a photo of me wearing a Mickey Mouse hat that Wanda shot which appeared in papers around the world including the big one in Beijing, China! As you can tell, I'm Disney's biggest fan! We just moved to Kansas to be closer to Wanda's parents who are seriously ill. Our new address is: Dave and Wanda MacPherson, P. O. Box 333, Beloit, KS 67420. We found a really cheap rental house for only $225.00 which is great since we are on Social Security. Would love to see you next time we're out there. Lord bless, pray for us while we pray for you. (I've had some serious health problems myself, but the Lord helps us, doesn't He?) With our love and prayers, Dave (& Wanda)
